On August 4, 2023, the first Vienna International Art Competition culminated in a special exhibition at CASA LUNGA in downtown Austria. This exhibition showcased thirty artworks, including winning works and a curated selection of outstanding pieces from the competition submissions. The event celebrated not only the conclusion of the international art competition but also the blossoming collaboration between Chinese and Austrian art communities. 2023年8月4日，首届维也纳国际艺术大赛在奥地利市中心 CASA LUNGA 举办的特别展览中落幕。本次展览展示了三十件作品包含获奖作品与精心挑选的优秀作品。此次活动不仅庆祝了国际艺术大赛的闭幕，也庆祝了中奥艺术界合作的蓬勃发展。The Vienna International Art Competition (VIAC) is co-hosted by the Austrian Sinotan Cultural Consulting Company, the Vienna Tourism Bureau, the Austrian Albertina Museum, the Vienna Museum of Art History, and No Name Studio Shanghai, with special support from the Cultural Office of the Austrian Embassy in China. Young Chinese artists provide an international stage to showcase their artistic creativity. Their contributions, displayed prominently at the exhibition, received commendation from seasoned art critics, reflecting their growing footprint in the international art realm. All winners of the competition were invited to attend the exhibition. However, due to visa complications, many were unable to make it. The opening ceremony saw an impressive attendance of nearly 150 art professionals and enthusiasts from across Europe. Esteemed art scholars from Austria and other parts of Europe lauded the initiative. They recognized it not only as an acknowledgment of the artistic prowess of Chinese students but also as a new milestone in Vienna's cultural exchange with China. "Beckett grew up in a rural town in Ireland, where everyone dreamed of seeing the outside world. And the reality of being satisfied in such a small space." The painting is also based on this consideration. No matter the metaphorical Plato cave theory, the "lying flat" individual, or the abstract triple space, they all discuss the relationship between man and the world. The Dragon Boat monkey made by folk artists hangs in the middle of the picture, which is a symbol of metaphorical blessing and auspice. I am also blessing everyone. I choose a cool color palette and a lot of black to add contrast and depth to the image. This work is both delicate and graphic. We were drinking coffee by the sea. The time was marvellous. We were sitting in the coffee shop in Sanya, and the waitress brought us some beverages in the beautiful chinese traditional cups. My mom ordered a cup of latte, and it contained some foam which you can see in my painting as well. We spent almost the whole afternoon enjoying the sun, birds flying in the sky, and our time together.
